Foundation of Monterey County (Support the Arts Regionally) announces a fund-raising campaignto lease or purchase a building for a costume co-op for theaters and schools in Monterey County.  There is definitely a need. Some theaters store their costumes and props in rat-infested, non-climate controlled spaces and various garages. The costume co-op would help theaters and schools catalog, store and maintain inventory. Designers could create, and area students could even spend their volunteer time helping to maintain costumes. S.T.A.R. announces winners of 2018 Performing Arts Scholarships

With the inclusion of the three recipients it will bring the total of students receiving S.T.A.R. scholarships to (45) forty-five and a total of over $90,000 granted. S.T.A.R. is proud to help continue and encourage participation in the performing arts. 2018 Scholarship Recipients: Victoria Favilla,  Salinas High School Lauren Yhip, Salinas High School Tyler Koran, Salinas High School

Announcing Scholarship Winners and Additional Grants May 2017

THE S.T.A.R. FOUNDATION OF MONTEREY COUNTY ANNOUNCES ADDITIONAL GRANTS AND PERFORMING ARTS SCHOLARSHIPS. To date the Foundation has granted $1,039,185.00 to youth-related performing arts programs and activities.
